Jennifer Hauschildt joined the Children’s Cancer Connection Board of Directors in 2022. She is a member of the Executive Committee and the Governance Committee. Her interest in the Board came after she attended a CCC fundraising event.
“One of my co-workers has a child who was diagnosed with cancer. He and his family attended camps and really felt supported by Children’s Cancer Connection,” Jennifer said. “I attended a Camping the Night Away event at which his family spoke about their experiences with CCC, and it was very moving.”
By day, Jennifer is a Business Analyst III at NCMIC Group. In addition to Board service, Jennifer helps out and represents CCC at various annual events such as the Dodgeball Tournament, Concours d’Elegance luxury automobile show and Trick or Trees at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden.
“Knowing that CCC makes such a positive impact on the families they serve makes me proud,” Jennifer said. “And staff is always trying to find more ways to make a positive impact.”
Jennifer hopes people realize that CCC provides services for the entire family following a childhood cancer diagnosis. She looks forward to helping CCC continue to grow outreach to serve more Iowa families.
