From March 10-12, CCC staff and volunteers took 17 CCC teens on Exploration Expedition to the Council Bluffs, IA area. This free weekend program brings teens from all over the state together to explore and connect, with lead support from Prairie Meadows Casino, Racetrack & Hotel!
The teens visited the Union Pacific Museum, the Squirrel Cage Jail of Pottawattamie County, Iowa, Sugar Makery BitterSweet candy shop, Pirate Putt Indoor Mini Golf and The Cryptic Room escape rooms. Card games, swimming and fun chats rounded out this unique weekend-long program for Iowa teens who either face/faced their own cancer or are a sibling of someone who was/is being treated for childhood cancer.
