Exploration Expedition
March 10 - March 12
Free
Each year, Children’s Cancer Connection staff and volunteers transport and chaperone teens on an adventure to fun and historical parts of Iowa during Exploration Expedition (EE). This is a free weekend program which brings CCC teens from all over the state together. Examples of activities include museum tours, hiking, bowling and more.
This year, from the evening of Friday, March 10 through the later morning/early afternoon of Sunday, March 12, the CCC Exploration Expedition will be heading to Council Bluffs! Transportation, meals and housing will be provided at no cost to participants and thanks to Lead Supporter Prairie Meadows. Pick-ups and drop-offs will take place in Iowa City, Johnston and Walnut. A full itinerary of events will be available at a later date. This trip for CCC youth ages 13 through graduating seniors is sure to be fun, meaningful and memorable. Register for your spot today!
Volunteers ages 21+ can see shift availability and/or sign up through the CCC volunteer platform.
