CCC Raises $75,000 at Camping the Night Away

bidders at the silent auction

Children's Cancer Connection (CCC) held its annual Camping the Night Away fundraiser on May 12. More than 200 guests attended Camping the Night Away, presented by Sammons Financial Group, which took place at The River Center. They enjoyed live music from Brian Congdon, 80+ auction packages, food, cocktails, a great program emceed by Jackie Schmillen and much more.

Nearly $75,000 was raised, which is a record total for this event. Proceeds fund CCC’s Camp Heart Connection, a magical space in which children and families affected by childhood cancer can connect, grow and create lifelong memories. It costs CCC roughly $500 to send each camper to camp, as participants attend entirely for free. Camps offer fun traditions such as Wish Night, tie-dye, horseback-riding, creek stomping, and a general escape to have fun and be kids!

Thanks to everyone who made this night possible. See event photos.
